Led by Mr. Sajjan Kumar Patwari and his three sons Mr. Sunil Kumar Patwari, Mr. Sanjib Kumar Patwari and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Patwari.
From a strong base in Eastern India — including West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha — Rashmi Group has expanded its presence across Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh, making it a pan-India enterprise. The Group’s operations are powered by 4 owned railway sidings, 39 GPWIS units, and cutting-edge plants at Kharagpur and Jhargram.
It has an 8.3 MTPA state of art Integrated Iron & Steel manufacturing facility which comprises of products like – Pellets, Pig Iron, Sponge Iron, Billets, TMT Bars, Wire Rods, Ductile Iron Pipes, 0.15 MTPA Ferro Alloys, 0.20 Aluminium,1050 MW Power (Captive & IPP).and 1.9 MTPA of Cement manufacturing facility.
The group is one of the largest exporter of Iron Ore Fines to China & South East Asian countries and mineral based products to other parts of the world. It has been awarded “Ultra Mega Project” status by West Bengal government and is among the first few to receive the environmental and pollution clearance in the state.
The group turnover has reached a level of around Rs 41,393 Crore and it has built a Net worth of Rs. 26,791 Crore. An amount of around Rs. 20,000+ Crore has been invested in the manufacturing facilities and the group operates with minimal debt.

Rashmi Group’s journey over these years has been a story of pioneering innovation, engineering excellence and strategic evolution as we expanded our footprint nationally and internationally and diversified our products and services portfolio.
We produce various iron & steel and cement products like ductile iron pipes, iron ore pellets, TMT bars and portland slag cement which are not only acclaimed locally but also in various parts of Eastern India as well as at some of the international markets including Nepal and Bangladesh.
On behalf of the entire group, I thank all our clients for their complete trust and support. It is their undivided loyalty that has empowered us to confidently embark on a journey filled with challenges and eventually meet success. Today, we take immense pride in being called the ‘new steel wave’ and earning several laurels and milestones in the process.
Going forward, we plan to enhance steel production and power generation capacity. We are vigorously implementing new measures and foresee five times growth in terms of revenue by 2020.
